AlamaYangu Initiative Tanzania

AlamaYangu Initiative Tanzania (AITA) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered to operate in mainland Tanzania and headquartered in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es salaam region.
AlamaYangu Initiative Tanzania is striving to empower the socially underprivileged by ensuring that government, stakeholders, and social institutions provide the necessary support, equitable services, and a complete continuum of care through reinforced systems, structures, and individuals.
The organization focuses on five main thematic areas:

  • 1.Health (Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, Malaria etc)

  • 2.Empowerment: This is a holistic theme in AITA as it targets all beneficiaries like children, youth, women, and structures including social and government structures (intervention like parental care, economic strengthening, entrepreneurship, life skills, GBV, gender, etc are offered under this theme

  • 3.Education: We invest in interventions that contribute to school retention.

  • 4.Protection: Safeguarding children and youth against all forms of violence and facilitating them to enjoy their life aspirations.

  • 5.Climate Change, Envorimental Conservation and Sustainability

Who we work With

In order to achieve its ambitious goals, AlamaYangu aspires to collaborate with governments, international institutions, national institutions, and other like-minded stakeholders in order to join hands to operationalize policies, laws, guidelines, and standards in executing interventions that bring a meaningful impact and legacy to the underprivileged including children, adolescents, women and the community at large.
As our 6th core value states, AITA strives to embrace “Synergies” in all its operations.
